Faux Finishing
Faux Finishing or Decorative Painting is a general term used to describe a variety of painting techniques used on virtually any paintable surface such as ceilings, walls, mouldings, floors and furniture.
Faux, the French word for false, describes an essential quality of these techniques; the creation of simple illusions of depth, texture and age, or complex illusions in the case of trompe l'oeil or "trick of the eye," often used in mural painting. Painted finishes have been used since prehistoric times and continue to be an integral part of the human experience.
Creating an inspiring and rejuvenating living environment is ever more important in today’s high pressure world. David brings his special knowledge of color and design to all his decorative projects.
